FAQs

Does the inspection cost me anything?

The inspection is a free service provided to you.

Close

Do I have to be present during the inspection?

As long as your safety isn’t compromised, we recommend you be present for the inspection if you (or we) have questions. We are flexible with appointment times and can work around your schedule. Keep in mind that with some types of property damage, the longer it takes to start the restoration process, the greater the risk of the damage increasing.

How long does the property inspection take?

It depends on the size of the property and the damage being inspected. Two hours is a reasonable estimate for most residential properties.

Close

Can I delay the inspection until I know if my insurance will cover the damage?

We recommend an inspection first. For some types of damage (water, for example), the longer you wait, the greater the risk of the damage increasing. The inspection is always free, and your Accuserve contractor will take photos and document any findings. This information will be helpful for your adjuster to make a coverage determination.

Will Accuserve send someone to fix the source of my water loss?

Accuserve will dry your home and provide necessary repairs, but it’s the property owner’s responsibility to address the source of the damage or loss. Save all your receipts and discuss the repairs with your adjuster once the source of the leak has been fixed.

When using Accuserve, you receive Accuserve’s commitment to our work in addition to the warranty offered by a contractor in our network. The benefit of this is that you are backed by an individual company and a national network.
